Our Asset Management department handles all asset dispositions at Maersk Tankers, linking our segments and top management to make certain we make the best possible asset decisions for our fleet. Asset Management is responsible for all asset procurement both through newbuildings, second-hand purchases and long-term TCs, and we are always eager to discuss opportunities with potential partners in the tanker industry.

The department also handles vessel sales, carefully considering and assessing any interest in a specific vessel, and making decisions quickly and effectively. At Maersk Tankers, we have close relationships with selected S&P brokers, but no exclusive arrangements concerning the sale and purchasing of second-hand tonnage. We base our choice of channel on the potential for securing a favourable deal.
