We acquired our first dedicated gas tanker in 1972, and we’ve been expanding and improving our fleet to meet changing customer needs ever since. Today, the Maersk Tankers’ fleet is one of the largest, most modern and most diversified independent gas fleets in the world. Innovation is a key element of Maersk Tankers Gas and as an example we are planning to build CO2 tanker vessels to transport COs from point sources such as power plants to underground CO2 storage.
